How literal do you interpret the miracle stories? What happens when science disproves certain “miraculous” events found within the Bible? Does one simply ignore the cognitive dissonance that has been created or step into the deeper challenges of interpretation? Join me today as we look at Joshua and the day the sun stopped rotating around the earth.
Beautiful story, great explanation why, once again, the Bible can best be understood by reading through the eyes of the people alive in that time and place. Also, If the stories are taken too literally, it could be easy to get sidetracked by the seeming impossibility of the many miracles in the Bible.
For a future podcast I would love to hear your interpretation of the story of Daniel and the fiery furnace.
Thank you for the comment! I will def take some time soon and discuss that story. There’s some really interesting elements of history that actually bring a much larger understanding of kingdom, alliance, and worship. I’ll share soon!!!
